Volunteer Requirements
Volunteer Hour Requirements
14U, 12U, and 10U:
- RETURNING families are required to work 40 hours of service.
- NEW families are required to work 35 hours of service.
8U/6U/Mini-Mites:
- RETURNING families are required to work 30 hours of service.
- NEW families are required to work 25 hours of service.
Mandatory Hour Requirements
ALL families are required to work 3 separate open skate sessions.
ALL families (including board members, coaches, etc.) are required to work 4 hours for rink set-up and also 4 hours for rink take down.
ALL families are required to work 2 cleaning sessions. Teams are assigned to clean the rink on a rotating weekly basis.
14U, 12U, and 10U families are required to work 6 hours for any of the home tournaments.
8U, 6U, and Mini-Mites families are required to work 4 hours for any of the home tournaments.
MISSED SHIFTS:
Each missed shift will result in a $25 fee. PLEASE SHOW UP FOR YOUR SHIFT. It is very challenging for others to cover your missed shift.
Families that do not meet their volunteer hour requirements by the end of the season will be billed $25 per missed hour.
Examples of ways to fulfill volunteer requirements
Become a Board Member. Board Members receive 40 volunteer hours.
Become a Head Coach. Head coaches receive 40 volunteer hours.
Become an Assistant Coach. Assistant Coaches for 14U/12U/10U receive 20 volunteer hours and 8U/6U/Mini-Mite receive 15 volunteer hours.
Become a Team Manager. Team Managers receive 10 volunteer hours. If a team has 2 team managers (co-managers), each manager receives 5 volunteer hours for a total of 10 hours.
Become a Locker Room Monitor. Locker Room Monitors for 14U/12U/10U receive 10 volunteer hours.
Assist with various events throughout the season and off-season. For instance, help with the fair stand or participate in a parade. Please note, the maximum volunteer hours during the off-season that will apply to the next season is 10 hours.
Join the Code of Conduct Committee (CoCC). CoCC members receive 5 volunteer hours.
Shovel snow from all doorways and sidewalks surrounding the Crawford Center. This is a MUST when it snows.
